Today Intel and Advanced micro devices or AMD are the leading manufacturers of processors. Intel’s processors are differentiated based on the class. It has total of 3 classes namely Pentium, Core and I series. Intel’s I-series is the latest of Intel’s processors and also better than the older ones. They are also differentiated based on the number of cores. They are single core, dual core and the quad core. Today Intel is using 45nm silicon technology for its processors.

Graphics Card

An electronic machine used for processing of data is called a computer. It can also be used for multitasking and multimedia applications. Multimedia applications include high definition video watching and gaming. But most of these high end applications cannot be run by a regular PC. Hence a graphics card is used. Graphics card is an accelerator tool which speeds up graphics related applications.

A graphics card also has some dedicated memory to store program data. Larger the memory of the graphics card, higher will be the speed of the graphics applications. But the most important feature of a graphics card is the number of cores or processors in it. It varies in the range of 16 to 750. Higher the number of cores, faster will be the processing. The computer is an electronic device and it performs some operation based on the data that the users fed into it. This process is called as input. The main function of the processor is that it will carry out some arithmetic and logic operation and it controls the various activity of the computer. The newly launched processors by the Intel are i3, i5, i7, Atom and Xeon, and the new released processor by AMD are Thuban, AUSUS M4A78T-E, and Opteron etc. The AMD processor has now realized some processor into the market with six cores and twelve cores. The processing speed of this processor will be very high and it will have good clock rate. The processor produced by the Intel is also good enough which also has good processing speed.

An operating system is the software which is programmed such a way to support the computer and all the hardware in it. It is a collection of the program and data that run on the computer. It also helps in efficient execution of the different types of the application software.
